Starting from the 7th June 2021, the Veneto region will be a white zone in Italy (together with Liguria, Abruzzo, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Molise). What does this mean? It's very simple: the only rules to strictly follow concerning the covid-19 pandemic will be wearing a mask, social distancing and hand sanitation.

We're very pleased to announce that the Italian Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, just signed the ordinance which eliminates the quarantine for travellers entering Italy from EU countries! Moreover, Venice is now part of the airports allowed to Covid-free flights (the list now includes Milan, Rome, Venice and Naples). Covid-free flights will now operate to these 4 Italian airports from the USA, Canada, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

May is turning out to be a month full of news for Venice: in addition to the reopening (keep on checking our blog for the latest update) and the Architecture Biennale, from the 29th May to the 6th June 2021 the second edition of the Venice boat show will take place!

Since the last 10 years or so, we have all learned to use several websites, platforms or portals to do our shopping, book our flights, holidays, find travel-mates, taxis... Every side of our daily life can benefit of apps or websites providing products or services that we need. We can access them 365 days per year, 24 hours a day, from any location, provided that we have an internet connection.

Venice and the Veneto region have been a "yellow zone" since mid-April, which means that now museums are allowed to open, also on weekdays. We at Luxrest Venice checked the updated opening schedules and we're listing them here for you:

Demi Lovato and music therapy

Music is very important in many people's lives. Music is a kind of therapy. Whether you are having a good day or a bad day, music will always be there to accompany you.

If music is a therapy for the people who listen to it, it is even more so for those who create it. This is for example the case of an artist who tells her story through her music: Demi Lovato.

Concerts during a pandemic

For more than a year now, life around the world has been changing, many people have not been able to continue working as normal and this has been the case for artists. Whether it is actors who have had to stop filming, comedians who have had to abandon the theatre floor or musical artists who have had to cancel their planned concerts around the world, their schedules have been completely turned upside down.

The pleasure of reading and the importance of buying local

During the March 2020 lockdown and again in 2021, many people stuck in their homes turned to reading to fill their days and comfort their soul. Some searched their garages or bookcases to find the perfect book for them, but some took the chance to read something new. Unfortunately, bookshops were closed during the lockdown as they were not considered essential. But this is not the case.
