Saor 2025 to celebrate Venetian cooking

Did you know there's a Venetian food festival? It's called SAOR 2025 and will be held in Venice from October 10 to 12, 2025.

For the occasion, the City of Venice has published a call for expressions of interest: ideas and proposals must be submitted by September 8. The City of Venice seeks the collaboration of anyone with something to propose and experiment with in the field of cuisine: local producers, restaurateurs, associations; but also artists, schools, cooperatives, or informal groups. Anyone, in short, who wants to help build, together, a modern narrative of Venice's culinary heritage. The City invites public and private entities in the area to propose activities and initiatives to be included in the festival's official program. Furthermore, for each positively evaluated proposal, a lump sum of €700 will be awarded to cover organizational and logistical expenses. Expressions of interest must be sent to saor@comune.venezia.it no later than September 8, 2025 (information taken from the City of Venice website).
