September in Venice looks very promising in terms of events and things to see! Moreover, the weather is super pleasant these days, which makes a tour around exhibitions and shows even more enjoyable. Here is what we picked up as our favourite things to do this month:

The Venice Glass Week from 4th to 12th September - plenty of exhibitions, workshops and parties all around Venice, for the whole week! All focused on the art of glass in Venice, both historical and contemporary.

The 78th Venice Film Festival from 1st to 11th September - needless to say, one of THE events to look for in Venice each year.

ONA Film Festival at the Giardini della Marinaressa from 9th to 11th September, an exciting open-air festival showing short movies about outdoor sports.

Venetia 1600 - birth and rebirth at Palazzo Ducale, from 4th September 2021 to 25th March 2022, with masterpieces by Tiziano, Tintoretto, Veronese..., ancient manuscripts, fabrics, miniatures, coming from several museums in Venice, aiming to show the multiple births and rebirths that Venice faced despite the challenges posed by changing times.

Biennale Music Festival from 17th to 29th September, starting with a great opening concert at La Fenice on the 17th September, will desplay daily focused on the dramaturgy of vocal sounds in the practice of today’s music. 

Vintage clothes market on the Giudecca from the 22nd to the 26th September, an interesting vintage sale of clothes and accessories from the '60es.
